Miracles - Perception vs Reality
Sweet Nectar - how many miracles are present here?
Miracles – Perception vs Reality
The Christian Resurrection Miracle, The Jewish Hanukah Miracle… and many more. Did they happen? Are they teaching stories? In truth, I don’t know. I wasn’t there. Because I don’t know, does it make them any less real? Are they any less a miracle?
When something feels like a miracle to one person and someone else can give a scientific explanation as to how and why it happened, does it make it less than a miracle to the first person?
Is a miracle limited to something that we call “an act of God?” or a philosophical view that a miracle is an event with natural causes we do not YET understand?
WHAT IF it feels like a miracle because I don’t understand it? Or I can basically understand it – yet it is far beyond any probability in MY mind, that it falls in the realm of “miracle” to me. It can flow into the realm of just because I don’t know the answer does it mean it is not True?
This make me think of:
The creation of life, a body formed and birthed - WOW!!!
The seed of an oak tree, starts as a flower, pollinated, forming an acorn, that contains the information of a whole oak tree – WOW!
A starfish losing an arm and regrowing it - or regrowing a whole starfish from that arm – WOW!
A heart emotionally smashed, healing and opening to love again - WOW!
What constitutes a miracle?
Does it have to be BIG and inexplicable to be a miracle? Is one person’s feeling of a miracle any more valid or important than another person’s feeling of it being a miracle? And are miracles everywhere if we just open ourselves to seeing them?
